Job Summary
Self-Direction DSP - Cortland/Homer Area (Job #FH-TM)
ARISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a young man in the Cortland/Homer NY area. We are looking for a dedicated individual who has experience deescalating emotional outbursts and is comfortable providing toileting and feeding support.
The DSP will assist him in developing social communication and life skills both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing support in the home and during community outings
- Encouraging and assisting him with overall health safety and daily living activities
- Promoting skill building and positive engagement
We are seeking individuals who are reliable patient enthusiastic and able to work independently. Reliable transportation is required. A background check fingerprinting and DMV record check will be completed prior to hire through the nonprofit agency.
Hours: Primarily Saturday (morning through evening) and Sunday until 1:00 PM Compensation: $32 per hour
