Job Summary

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Cloud Network Engineer position! This is a 12 month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo NY. Highly qualified remote candidates will be considered. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.

What Youll Be Doing:

Serve as a specialist across network infrastructure and cloud-based technologies within a regulated banking environment with a strong focus on Azure engineering firewall management and cloud network architecture.
Design implement and manage secure and scalable cloud network solutions in Microsoft Azure.
Configure and support enterprise firewall platforms ensuring optimal performance and policy compliance across hybrid environments.
Collaborate with Technology leadership senior engineers and support teams to deliver end-to-end infrastructure and network solutions.
Cloud infrastructure architecture and design
Network segmentation and routing in cloud environments
Implementation of security policies at the network level
Firewall rule management logging and tuning
Unit testing system integration and user acceptance testing
Engage with business partners to clarify network and infrastructure requirements and design decisions.
Coordinate vendor relationships and resources as needed.
Mentor junior team members and review network-related documentation.
Stay current with cloud networking trends particularly in Azure services and cloud-native network security.
Ensure compliance with internal risk and regulatory standards related to network and cloud infrastructure.

What Youll Need to Have:

Combined minimum of 8 years of higher education and/or professional experience in network infrastructure cloud engineering or systems architecture.
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies (e.g. Palo Alto Fortinet Cisco ASA).
Proven ability to design and support cloud network infrastructure preferably in Microsoft Azure.
Deep understanding of Azure networking components such as virtual networks network security groups (NSGs) load balancers VPN gateways ExpressRoute and Azure Firewall.
Experience translating business and security requirements into practical network and infrastructure designs.
Advanced skills in:
Network troubleshooting and diagnostics
Cloud infrastructure management
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts and templates (e.g. ARM Bicep or Terraform)
Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and connectivity (on-prem to cloud).
Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and in fast-paced enterprise-scale environments.
Experience working in financial institutions or highly regulated industries is a plus.

Pay Range:$60-$65/hr
