About the role:
SydPath is a wholly owned business unit of the St Vincents Hospital Network comprised of St Vincents Hospital Darlinghurst and the Sacred Heart Health Service Darlinghurst. The Network is part of an integrated network of clinical services that aim to ensure timely access to appropriate care for all residents in New South Wales.
SydPath is a fully accredited NATA/RCPA registered facility offering a comprehensive range of pathology services in the disciplines of Haematology Chemical Pathology Clinical Pathology Microbiology Immunopathology/HIV Molecular Pathology and Anatomical Pathology. Per NPAAC Supervisory requirements there must be at least one full time equivalent in aggregate on-site Pathologist with the relevant Scope of Practice for each pathology test offered.
The Haematology Pathologist is responsible for supervisory management of high-quality diagnostic services within their in partnership with the Head of Haematology Division and the Director of Pathology.
