We are seeking a systems-thinker to join the Basel Site organization. As a Strategic Foresight Intern you will help build the sites Radara process to monitor global trends and translate them into a site-ready language. Your mission is to help us move from reacting to change to anticipating it using AI to simplify complexity and drive action.
Building an AI-augmented Radar process to identify and monitor global signals in healthcare science technology and building infrastructure.
Designing a Site Relevance filter that synthesizes complex information into simple actionable takeaways for our internal stakeholders.
Contributing to the development of visually appealing reports and future-ready indicators that make trends easy to digest and hard to ignore.
Developing an automated scanning workflow using AI tools to maximize efficiency.
Supporting site-wide workshops and working directly with the Foresight Lead to facilitate scenario-building sessions.
You are an enrolled Bachelors Masters or PhD student or graduated from your Bachelor or Master studies within 12 months prior to the start date in Industrial Ecology Life Sciences Social Sciences Political Sciences Engineering Systems Science or a related field that emphasizes systemic thinking and scenario development.
You are an AI-native comfortable using tools like Gemini NotebookLM and other automation platforms to facilitate research and synthesis.
You have a design eye and the ability to create visually appealing content that simplifies complex data.
You possess the unique ability to distill a 50-page report into three sentences that tell a leader exactly what they need to do next.
You are comfortable in a decentralized dynamic organization and enjoy the challenge of building a new function from the ground up.
This internship is based in Basel Switzerland and work will be conducted on-site.
The program is scheduled to start as soon as possible and will run for 6 months with the possibility of extension to max. 12 months.
This is a full-time opportunity; part-time arrangements are not possible.
Writing a thesis during this internship is not permitted.
