Commercial Mortgages and Securitized Real Estate Assets Intern

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide real estate and capital market research support for analyzing and underwriting bond and mortgage investments.

• Monitoring credit risk and performance of existing investment holdings.

• Review due diligence documents associated with the origination and closing of mortgage investments.

• Perform independent research on industries and sectors within the real estate and fixed income markets.

• Participate and contribute to all aspects of the investment process including meetings with issuers and management.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Rising (juniors and) seniors with a demonstrated history of strong academic performance who are pursuing a Real Estate degree.

• Working knowledge of accounting finance corporate strategy real estate and financial statistics with a working knowledge of underwriting commercial properties.

• Strong written and verbal communication analytical problem-solving decision-making and mathematical skills.

• Ability to take work direction from various leaders as well as work independently.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel. Experience with Argus and investment tools such as FactSet Aladdin and/or Bloomberg is a plus.

• Ability to work full time during the summer.
