Job Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing dressing and grooming.
- Assist with mobility transfers and positioning.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean safe and organized environment for residents.
- Foster a supportive and empathetic atmosphere for patients and their families.
State-Specific Requirements (Iowa)
To be considered for this position candidates must meet the following Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals (DIA) and state-mandated criteria:
- Licensure: Must hold a current Iowa CNA Certification in good standing. (Verification will be conducted via the Iowa DIA registry).
- Background Clearance: Must pass the IA SING Background Check which includes:
- Criminal History
- Sex Offender Registry check
- Child Abuse Registry check
- Dependent Adult Abuse Registry check
- Mandatory Training: Completion of the Dependent Adult Abuse Training (IA Course DS 168) is required.
- Verification: Employment is contingent upon successful online verification of credentials.
Qualifications
- Current IA CNA License.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the role (lifting standing for long periods).
- Shift Flexibility: Able to work flexible shifts depending on availability (morning afternoon or night).
