As a Full-Time Product Engineer at VAL-CO Industries you will embark on an exciting journey of innovation in the agriculture industry. Your primary responsibility will involve designing new and improved mechanical or electro-mechanical products as well as modifying existing solutions to meet evolving customer needs. You will convert customer inputs into actionable designs resolve product-related issues and maintain current specifications through thoughtful modifications. Engaging in prototype development youll evaluate functional requirements to ensure quality before production begins. Your role will also encompass quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing product longevity and functionality while driving manufacturing cost reductions.
You will coordinate product tests deliver precise production drawings and collaborate closely with tooling design teams. This position promises a variety of challenges and opportunities enabling you to leave a significant impact on both customer satisfaction and product excellence.
Requirements for this Product Engineer job
To thrive as a Full-Time Product Engineer at VAL-CO Industries candidates must possess a BS or technical degree in a related field or have equivalent experience along with a minimum of 5 years in design or a pertinent engineering discipline. Excellent organizational skills are essential for managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Strong communication and collaboration abilities are critical for working closely with various internal teams and understanding customer requirements.
Solid engineering knowledge in mechanical systems will enable you to innovate and modify products efficiently. Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and design tools like AutoCAD or Solid Works is crucial for creating accurate drawings and specifications. Additionally the ability to interpret diverse instructions-whether they come in written oral diagram blueprint or sketch form-is vital.
A self-starter mentality and the capability to engage with multiple internal customers will further ensure success in this dynamic role.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
