The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention protection and preparation as well as the care custody and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes state prisons with custody healthcare and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Other divisions include Administration Health Services Rehabilitation & Reentry Special Operations and the Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission. We have a mission that matters!
Description of Work
This position is responsible for scanning in Judgment and Commitments offender unit jacket paperwork Parole Commission/Supervision paperwork and DCI paperwork as necessary using the OmniScan program.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range $31200.0 - $49340.00

Management Preference
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a minimum of 1-year administrative experience.
Knowledge of NCDAC policies procedures and protocols handling confidential records.
Ability to enter and retrieve data of confidential records using various forms of database applications.
Ability to adapt to frequent shifts in job priorities especially when emergencies arise and work in a high-paced high-stress environment.
**Preference will be given to those with knowledge of OPUS (Offender Population Unified System; Electronic Document Management System (OMNI DOCS/OMNI SCAN) and those familiar with court documents.
