serve as Defence Academy Learning Capability and Development Group Learning Development
Advisor 2 SNCO at Shrivenham on FTRS (HC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial
proposed start date of March 2026.
Unit Function:
To deliver high quality relevant and progressive education and training to support Government
security and defence policies to enhance defence capability and advance the defence and security
interests of the UK.
Position Role:
To provide support to the Learning Analysis Design and Development Team.
Responsibilities:
Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) design and documentation in accordance with JSP 822 and the Defence Academy MTES. Ensure training solutions are compliant evidence-based and aligned to Defence learning governance.
Provide specialist DSAT advice and support to the wider Academy Colleges and Groups as directed by SO2 LDA.
Support SO2 LDA in the oversight and management of externally contracted Learning Design outputs ensuring contracted work meets Defence standards for quality and delivery.
Contribute to the development review and maintenance of Defence Academy governance frameworks policies and procedures. Support compliance and assurance activity across the Learning Domain.
Provide administrative support to enable delivery of LCaD operational outputs as directed by the Chain of Command. Maintain accurate documentation records and reporting.
Undertake additional Learning Development and Continuous Improvements tasks commensurate with rank as directed by SO2 LDA. Support wider Defence Academy initiatives as required.
