JOB SUMMARY
BKV is looking for a results-driven Development Manager with strong reservoir optimization and corporate budgeting skills to represent BKV.
This position would drive the Marcellus asset development planning and lead a tenured team to develop technical budget inputs (capital production & GTC) along with merging and validating all other corporate budget variables (LOE dCV capital & schedules Power capex Midstream throughput and Development schedules).
This role will also lead Long Range Planning for the entire Upstream business from a production and capex perspective quarterly public guidance development Scenario analysis and AdHoc reporting to management. There will also be a heavy Investor Relations and Reserves component to the role. The manager will need to effectively communicate models to management and is expected to have the ability to advise on strategy up to the Executive level to optimize production EBITDAX ROCE etc. within capital & OPEX constraints.
This position works cross-functionally with Finance Midstream Operations Geology Production Regulatory Land Commercial and dCarbon teams to drive topline corporate results and competitive growth/optimization of the NE basin.
This role sets objectives and goals and manages a team to ensure results. Support team members and stakeholders understand and follow policies practices and procedures. Demonstrates integrity accountability and transparency; upholds BKV standards values and culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical job responsibilities of the Development Manager NEPA & Budget include:
- Lead and manage a team including a Reservoir Engineering Advisor and Engineering Technician Advisor
- Manage schedules and prepare technical models forecasts and scenario analysis on time and at high quality management.
- Advise on strategy reporting and alternative options with the expectation of no misses on tight timelines with inputs across all disciplines.
- Champion Upstream capital allocation & tracking. Analyze and recommend across all assets and all VDI projects to optimize near term targets while balancing long term impacts.
- Develop Long Range Plan and scenario analysis for 5-10 years out. Identify concerns long term inventory demands and variable growth profiles. Optimize and advise total corp shared resources between upstream midstream dCarbon and Power.
- Develop monitor and report on all capital and production guidance to the public markets.
- Support IT teams on all corporate Power BI & Spotfire reporting dashboards to include design trouble shooting and loading budgets.
- Lead development & planning team to optimize remaining inventory in the NEPA asset through recent performance competitor analysis and 3rd party studies.
- Continue Farmout/JOA opportunities in NEPA to extend laterals lowering unit costs while maintaining WI/NRI weighting.
- Expected to travel to asset and provide technical knowledge/justification to complex local regulatory/government bodies to deliver permits.
- Identify and implement with base ops production Engineering and Marketing/Midstream strategic base initiatives to optimize GTC pressure and overall asset production
- Support YE reserves process for all BKV upstream assets
- Always demonstrate and promote safe and ethical behavior.
- Understand and apply all company policies and ensure others comply with these policies.
- Foster a culture of safety integrity and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and train less experienced employees.
- Review and approve invoices in area of responsibility.
- Manage vendors as necessary.
- Establish key performance indicators for direct reports.
- Conduct analysis and prepare reports on key performance metrics; present and explain findings to senior management.
- Manage office-related documentation including project files and employee documents.
- Perform other duties as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Understanding of natural gas industry standards market trends emerging issues and regulatory requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position is located at BKVs Denver Colorado office.
- Some travel (up to 20%) may be required to PA & TX.
- Open to hybrid remote working
- Work performed indoors requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk. Must have the ability to bend over and reach above head lift under 15 pounds view computer screen for extended periods of time type on a keyboard and perform repetitive motions and operate standard office equipment.
- Field work requires the use of personal protective equipment and potential exposure to noise and safety hazards.
