Job Summary

Job Summary:

In the absence of the regular classroom teacher the substitute teacher is responsible for the continuation of all learning activities in the classroom. Substitute teachers are expected to effectively communicate with students and establish a positive climate and maintain classroom discipline.

The position(s) will be available on an as-needed basis. The pay rate is $120.00 per day ($160.00 per day with a CT teaching certificate) with no benefits provided.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree preferred
Experience working in a school system preferred
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in classroom management
Effective written and oral communication
Ability to be flexible in work assignments

The successful candidate will:
