**This is an in-office role based out of our Toronto Office.**
About the role
The Property Tax Intern is responsible for providing support to the Property Tax Services team. The Property Tax Intern will perform a variety of duties including collection of market data conducting property inspections and several administrative tasks including populating CLIO the litigation software used by the team filing appeals with the Ontario Assessment Review Board (ARB) and assisting in the preparation of marketing materials.
In this role you will
Research and compile market data and overviews which will be incorporated in valuation reports by using internal and external resources and third-party databases such as MLS RealNet Statistics Canada and the Internet.
Update client property and assessment appeal data in CLIO.
Conduct survey calls to obtain market and zoning information as well as planning research.
Attend site inspections and provide relevant notes and photographs.
File or assist in filing ARB assessment appeals
Organize and implement data reporting to senior team members on specific assignments.
Other duties as required.
What youll bring
Minimum of 1 year work experience in a business or office environment.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook) and ability to learn new software programs such as Report Builder and CLIO.
Knowledge of mathematics and application of valuation techniques.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Maintains a high degree of discretion and confidentiality; uses diplomacy discretion and judgment in disclosing information.
Working towards or has completed a degree and/or diploma in Real Estate Management or similar from a recognized post-secondary institution (this is a preferred skill).

Approximate Hourly Range for Role: $20 to $22
Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.
