Job Summary
Job Title: Operating Room Technician (CST) Contract
Location: Brooklyn NY 11234
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 5 Days/Week 40 Hours/Week
Shift: Day Shift
Shift Time: 7:00 AM 2:30 PM
Compensation
Weekly Gross Pay: $2215
W2 Rate: $18/hour
Weekly Stipend: $1540
Local Pay Rate: $49/hour
Job Overview
A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Operating Room Technician (Certified Surgical Technologist CST) for a 13-week contract assignment. The CST will play a vital role in supporting surgical teams by maintaining sterile environments preparing operating rooms and assisting during surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
Prepare operating rooms with required surgical instruments equipment and sterile supplies
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile technique
Ensure proper counting handling and disposal of surgical instruments and materials
Maintain aseptic technique in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Monitor surgical equipment and report any malfunctions promptly
Collaborate effectively with surgeons nurses and anesthesia teams
Ensure patient safety and compliance throughout surgical procedures
Requirements
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification Required
Graduate of an accredited CST training program
Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
Strong interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
Physical stamina manual dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods
