Job Summary
We are delighted to invite applications for a caring and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive school community in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Key Stage 1 practitioner who is passionate about helping children develop confidence independence and foundational skills during a crucial stage of their education.

As a Year 1 teacher you will deliver high-quality teaching across the National Curriculum creating engaging lessons that build pupils literacy numeracy and wider curriculum knowledge. You will establish a structured calm and encouraging classroom environment where children feel safe valued and supported to achieve their potential.
Assessment will be central to your practice. You will track pupil progress carefully identify gaps in learning and implement interventions to support every childs development. Differentiation and inclusion will ensure that pupils with SEND EAL or additional learning needs are supported effectively.
You will work collaboratively with Key Stage 1 colleagues teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure continuity and consistency in learning. Building strong partnerships with parents and carers is also a priority keeping them informed and involved in their childs learning journey.

You will:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 1 curriculum
Create a positive inclusive and well-managed classroom
Use assessment to inform planning and track pupil progress
Support pupils academic social and emotional development
Work collaboratively with colleagues teaching assistants and families
