A thriving and inclusive primary school in Southcoate Reading is seeking a passionate enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join its committed teaching team. This is a full-time permanent position suitable for both experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers (ECTs).
The successful candidate will be responsible for a class in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 delivering lessons that inspire challenge and engage pupils while supporting their academic social and emotional development. As a Primary Teacher in Southcoate your responsibilities will include:
Planning preparing and delivering high-quality engaging lessons across the curriculum in line with the National Curriculum
Creating a safe inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes academic social and emotional growth
Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities including those with SEN or EAL
Monitoring pupil progress using formative and summative assessments adapting teaching accordingly
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour effort and achievement
Supporting pupils social emotional and personal development alongside academic progress
Collaborating with Teaching Assistants SEN staff and school leadership to implement targeted interventions
Participating in pupil progress meetings curriculum planning and school-wide initiatives
Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress achievements and concerns
Keeping accurate records of pupil performance assessment and behaviour
Actively participating in staff meetings CPD sessions and professional development opportunities
Upholding safeguarding child protection and school policies at all times
The school is looking for a Primary Teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching in KS1 or KS2 (ECTs welcome)
Demonstrates excellent classroom management and consistently applies positive behaviour strategies
Is committed to inclusive education supporting pupils from diverse backgrounds
Can differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of all learners
Is reflective proactive and committed to ongoing professional development
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills with pupils parents and colleagues
Works collaboratively as part of a professional teaching team
Is passionate about making a meaningful difference in childrens learning and development
Experience supporting pupils with SEN EAL or additional learning needs is desirable but not essential.
