Overview
The Cape Cod Collaborative is an educational organization providing a full range of instructional and support services to the students parents and public school staff of our 20 member districts whose needs are best addressed through a multi-district effort. Our student services include: alternative education programs for low incident special needs populations; programs for the multi-handicapped; therapy and services for students requiring specialized support; and a full range of transportation services for both the special needs and general education population. We coordinate collegial sharing opportunities for various professional groups conduct executive searches and offer a wide range of professional development and training opportunities for the educators and support personnel of our member districts. #WeAreOneCollaborative
Position Overview
The Director of Professional Growth and Innovation is responsible for the strategic design
coordination and delivery of high-quality professional development opportunities for Cape Cod
Collaborative staff and its member school districts. This role works collaboratively with district
leadership Cape Cod Collaborative administration and external partners to identify professional learning needs and develop responsive growth opportunities that strengthen instructional practice leadership capacity and organizational effectiveness across the region.
The Director also plays a key role in expanding Cape Cod Collaborative services to meet the
evolving needs of member districts. This includes developing sustainable revenue-generating
professional development and shared-service initiatives that enhance district capacity while
supporting the long-term growth and sustainability of the Collaborative.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree (or higher preferred) in education educational leadership or a related field.
- Massachusetts DESE administrator licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Demonstrated experience in professional development planning coordination or instructional leadership.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles district professional development systems and collaborative service models.
- Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in or with educational collaboratives or multiple school districts. Knowledge ofDESE initiatives professional development requirements and grant programs.
- Experience designing fee-based grant-funded or shared-service initiatives.
- Experience facilitating professional development for educators or administrators.
Skills and Attributes

- Strong facilitation presentation and relationship-building skills.
