UW Medical Center-Northwest - Medical-Surgical Unit at the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning has an outstanding opportunity for a Night Shift Registered Nurse.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 36 hours per week

  • 3x12 shift schedule

  • Night shifts (7:00pm-7:30am)

  • Rotating weekend shifts required

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

  • The Medical-Surgical Unit at the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning supports a wide range of individuals including low acuity patients and patients with multiple comorbidities

  • We are a unique unit providing dedicated medical-surgical and telemetry care to the behavioral health population

  • We have 50 beds and consistently hold 1:4 and 1:5 nurse to patient ratios

  • Our patients receive holistic treatment addressing their physical medical and mental health needs

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide medical-surgical care to behavioral health patients including those with psychiatric comorbidities

  • Ensure patient safety protocols are followed including restraint protocols

  • Administer oral and injectable medications

  • Monitor vital signs using telemetry equipment

  • Assess and manage pain

  • Provide education and discharge instructions to patients and their families

  • Provide personalized care with compassion dignity and respect

REQUIREMENTS

  • Active BLS

  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

Compensation Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$45.59 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$83.64 hourly

Other Compensation:

$10000 Sign-On Bonus (for eligible new employees) BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour Certification premium - $1.25/hour Night premium - $5.00/hour Weekend premium - $4.00/hour Sunday night premium - $3.00/hour
