Job Summary
Job Title: Custodian Department: FacilitiesReports to: Facilities ManagerHours/Pay type: Full time hourlySUMMARYWork as general custodian for the school building. Perform general cleaning functions for the facility grounds and utilities as directed by the supervisor. Secure building DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform all basic cleaning tasks required (sweeping/shoveling snow/emptying trash and recycle bins/mopping etc) according to the established schedule of frequency to maintain the school building grounds and utilities in sanitary supportively to requests by faculty and staff to provide assistance for moving equipment or furniture. Set up and take down furniture for special the mission of the school and the students and staff. Replace light bulbs as be required to lift up to 60lbs as part of job facilities daily with misc supplies including but not limited to paper supplies soap toilet paper hours required on snow days to permit timely shoveling of maintenance duties as assigned (fertilize/trim bushes/sweep).Operate a variety of miscellaneous small power equipment (e.g. snowblower lawn & garden equipment vacuum floor cleaning equipment) as with minimal other duties related to building and systems maintenance as REPSONSIBILITIES:When assigned supervise the work of service students who are assisting you with your :Prior experience in school setting is desirable. Interest in working among students essential. EDUCATION:High School Diploma or LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:Valid Massachusetts Class D License Approved CORI and fingerprinting background check Citizenship residency or work visa required.
