Tool & Fixture Specialist (Tool & Fixture)

Company:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Tool & Fixture Specialist (Level B or C) to support the Tooling team in Salt Lake City Utah.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs routine tool set up activities

• Makes minor repairs. Performs manufacture assembly and fabrication of tools

• Operates various factory support equipment to move materials and tools as required

• Provides tooling support to other organizations

• Assists in determining fabrication and assembly processes for the design

• Assists in reverse engineering design and fabrication processes for parts

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Must have a current valid drivers license

• 1 year of experience with tool set-up and/or maintenance

• 1 year of work experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks

• 1 year of work experience operating hand tools

• 1 year of experience repairing maintaining construction and/or the inspection of tools dies jigs power feed etc

• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time (6 hours)

• Must be able to carry and lift to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment

• Experience with Laser Tracker and/or Romer Arm measuring equipment

• Experience with Spatial Analyzer (SA) software

• Experience operating CNC Mill
