What You Will Do

The Connected Factory intelligence team is seeking a principle automation controls engineer to join our team. This role will support the development and deployment of connected factory applications into the factory areas working with factory automation engineering teams. Additional responsibilities include:

Review and develop formal bill of materials and infrastructure needs for the implementation of digital applications
Verify that all OT devices and structure meet Raytheon Digital Technologies standards
Support the design control and improvement of the manufacturing process through collaboration within a multi-disciplined team
Support RCCA investigations with onsite teams
Support development of PLC code to integrate with digital applications

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
Experienceutilizingand programming Allen Bradley Studio 5000tag-basedControl Systems
Experiencewith interpretation of technical documentation
Experience within a manufacturing environment
Ability to obtain andmaintaina US security clearance . U.S. citizenship isrequiredas only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

Applied knowledge of Ethernet/IPand Ethernet working
Knowledge of various sensor technologies
Ability to specify design program debug systems for automation equipment
Experience with machine vision systems (Fanuc DVT/Cognex)
Experience programming of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI/GUI); (FactoryTalk View Ignition etc.)
Experience in Robotics programming (FanucABBetc.)
Experience with lean manufacturingand technical writing
Strong engineering aptitudeanalyticaland communicationskills
Technical problem solving
Active DOD Security Clearance

The salary range for this role is 107500 USD - 204500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
