Job Summary

Squarespace is looking for a Business Development professional who is passionate about the power of Squarespaces platform and products to help customers build their brand and their business. Our Business Development team serves to commercialize new partnerships and incubate new growth opportunities for the company. You will help identify new areas of potential growth and develop the most promising while optimizing and maximizing the strong book of partners currently under management. The team collaborates with Legal Finance Product Design Engineering Marketing and more.

You will report directly to the Senior Director Business Development and can be based in our New York headquarters or remotely in an approved US state.

Youll Get To

  • Optimize and grow a broad portfolio of partners investing in strategic growth areas of Payments Financial Services our App Ecosystem embedded integration partnerships across the core product
  • Work tirelessly to champion advocate and empower a team of highly capable direct reports remove roadblocks act as a sounding board and build a strong team culture
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and execution of all partnerships
  • Maintain direct and active relationships with partners including proactively resolving business and technical issues and serving as an internal advocate and escalation point
  • Communicate market opportunities needs and partner feedback to teams to inform product roadmap and prioritization
  • Collaborate with design product engineering legal finance marketing and PR to launch maintain and grow product partnerships
  • Track and communicate partner metrics industry trends and the impact of these partnerships on business goals
  • Develop business proposals structure projections and KPIs and negotiate term sheets / contracts

Who Were Looking For

  • 8 years of professional experience relating to partnerships business development strategy or product management
  • Proven track record for capable and passionate people management
  • Strong product sense and comfort with considering basic technical feasibility of partner integrations
  • A passion and curiosity for new creative tool products and their potential for transforming industries
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive initiatives without sacrificing attention to detail
  • Experience and/or interest in commercial payments fintech and financial services space
  • Experience and/or interest in marketplaces app ecosystems and API integrations

Cash Compensation Range: $148500 - $239200 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills experience and location among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and where applicable for eligible roles may include overtime pay) Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure in addition to base salary.
