The Project

The Waikeria Prison Development Expansion PPP project is multi million dollar construction project based in the heart of the Waikato. This project will add additional leading edge facilities to complement the existing Prison that CPD delivered early this year to the Department of Corrections. With early works already underway the opportunity to join this project is available now with overall completion and facility opening due in 2029.

Your opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager the Planner will sit within the project team and be accountable for:

  • Develop and maintain an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimise those risk.
  • Actively contributing to identification of and response to project risks and opportunities
  • Exposure to large projects and project management in the construction and/or similar industry
  • Supporting and maintaining strong relationships and clear lines of communication with project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Demonstrated 2 to 4 years project delivery experience in infrastructure or building as a Graduate Engineer Site Engineer or Project Engineer roles or similar role
  • ESS integration into the master programme.
  • Procurement logic set-up and then ongoing updates as it continues to change.
  • Getting the programme ready for the clients link-by-link review.
  • Compliance with Schedule 9 / Schedule 11 requirements. This includes building and maintaining the ESS Engineering / Shop Drawings Procurement / Manufacture WCT programme
  • Must be P6 competent.
  • Proven competency with current industry standard planning software including Primavera P6 (or other leading Enterprise CPM software) OPRA Asta Powerproject Microsoft Project Synchro Navisworks SketchUp TILOS Chainlink
