Were looking for a Senior Planner to join our Contracting team in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Youll own the daytoday planning and scheduling of our contracting works working closely with our Contract Manager and wider team to keep projects on track profitable and compliant. Your work will help us deliver safe reliable infrastructure that our communities can depend on.
Mō te tūranga About the role
This is a senior planning role based in our Auckland Contracting Division working in a predominantly office environment with regular engagement across sites and field crews. Youll turn strategy into reality by developing maintaining and optimising programmes for a range of civil contracting projects. Youll be a key link between operations commercial and field teams ensuring accurate data flows through our systems and into our this role youll directly influence project outcomes safety performance and client satisfaction while helping to drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Ngā kawenga matua Key responsibilities
Lead the planning and scheduling of contracting works and specific projects across the division
Prepare monthly work packs for field crews keeping them informed of upcoming works and changes
Track maintenance and faults updating programmes and relevant team members as required
Implement and manage change control processes within the planning and programming function
Report on team and delivery performance for monthly reports and contract reviews
Coordinate forward works planning maintaining planning systems and supporting special projects and tenders

Appropriate tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. engineering construction project management)
Minimum 10 years experience as a Planner ideally within civil contracting or infrastructure delivery
Advanced skills in Primavera P6 with working knowledge of Microsoft Project and CCS Planning
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills with the ability to manage and interpret complex data
Working knowledge of current New Zealand civil and construction legislation and standards
Solid understanding of engineering principles and good NZ civil practice
Experience applying project management principles in a contracting environment
