DescriptionAs a Software Engineer II you will be responsible for executing project subtasks in order to meet customer specifications and validate various interconnected advanced aerospace systems spanning communications management functions (CMF) Flight Management Systems (FMS) and other mission-critical systems on various avionic platforms.
You will be expected to apply for a broad range of software engineering skillsets coordinate across hardware and software teams and ensure compliance with all customer and regulatory requirements. You will be an active contributor amongst an integrated product team supporting the development of current and future datalink systems while ensuring compliance within aerospace certification standards.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Design develop and integrate datalink systems across CMF FMS amongst other ATN technologies.
- Translate system and software requirements into robust implementations.
- Integrate and validate unit and system level requirements through verification testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software bugs and defects.
- Participate in peer reviews design reviews and documentation activities for certification.
- Collaborate across various functional and global engineering and project engineering teams.
- Travel within U.S. and/or Internationally: 10%
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences technology engineering or mathematics.
- At least 2 years of Software Engineering experience.
- Proficient experience in C as well as higher-level languages.
- Proven experience in datalink communications systems.
