About the Role

Reporting to the VP Finance Cannabis Operations this role provides insights to the financial health of the organization through analysis projections and reporting. This position will work closely with the Commercial/Sales team and the Corp Accounting team.

Role and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ownership of month end reporting analysis and consolidation of information from across the business to generate monthly financial packages

  • Support the development of the annual budget and rolling forecasts including sales cost of goods sold and departmental overheads

  • Creation and maintenance of reports and models to track the companys progress through the year including volume/mix/rate variances and department spend

  • Support productivity cost saving tracking and reporting

  • Be a trusted financial business partner to all departments across the organization

  • Contribute to the teams strong collaborative culture by developing strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships to support initiatives and by fostering a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.

As an Analyst Financial Planning & Analysis you bring:

  • 5-8 years experience in a Financial Planning and Analysis role

  • Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Finance/Accounting/Commerce or equivalent

  • Advanced Excel skills required to consolidate data from multiple sources

  • Strong ERP base concepts (D365/Business Central SAP JDE etc.)

  • Power BI reporting experience an asset

  • High degree of accuracy with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks

  • Demonstrated capability as a team player with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements

  • Criminal record check required
