Summary of the Role
The function of the Counter Technician is to provide direct support to the Branch operations toensure overthe counter orders are position also ensures the ongoing development of existing and prospective customers to ensure that the Branchis able tomeet its growth targets.
Responsibilities
Mustmaintain100% commitment to safety policies and procedures
Quotes customers using working knowledge of product both in-person through retail sales and via phone or email
Builds tests and inspects industrial hose assemblies in response toidentifiedcustomer applications and needs
Provides technical/service supporttoaccount management service centermanagementand internal and external customers
Processes incoming inquiries to company sales system
Successfully achieves budgeted Branch sales goals
Monitors on-time delivery date commitments andexpediteswhere appropriate
Monitors customer specific inventory for sales order fulfillment
Makesoutbound calls to potential and existing customers for new and sales growth opportunities
Builds andmaintainsstrong internal and external relationships
Perform other duties as trained and qualified for

Possess excellent customer service skills
Ability to interact with customers and team-members in a professional manner
Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written
Requiresa proficiencyin math skills including addition subtractionmultiplicationand division in units of measure
Must be able to perform calculations using whole numbersfractionsand decimals.
Basic computer skills including MS Word Excelinternetand email
Mustbe able to successfullyutilizethe company software
Minimum Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
1-3 years of related warehousingconstructionor production experience
A high school diploma or GED
Reliable transportation isa must
Ability to work nights and weekends asrequired
Ability to work overtime asrequired
Background checks and drug screening may berequired(by Company Customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment asrequiredorpermittedby law)

PhysicalRequirementsand Work Environment
This position is primarily based in anindustrial store warehouse environment may include fluctuating temperatures (both hot and cold) varying noise levels exposure to dust and other typical elements of an active industrial accommodations are available to support individuals with disabilities in performing the essential functions of this role.
Ability to work in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
Frequent operation of a computer keyboard mouse and other standard office equipment.
Ability to pull push grasp bend lift and carry up to 50lbsindependently on a repeated basis. Heavier items may be moved with teamassistanceor mechanical aid.
Ability to move freely throughout the job site including on occasional uneven surfaces for extended periods of time.
Ability tocomprehendand follow instructions and safety procedures.
Ability to read write and communicate in English
Ability tocomprehenddocuments such as safety rulesoperatingand maintenance instructions inventory sheets and procedure manuals.
Ability to respond to safety signals alarms and verbal instructions.
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions including exposure to temperature changes dust and warehouse noise.

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves safety glasses steel-toed footwear hearing protection or hard hats whenrequired.
