Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop a template for direct admissions marketing strategies from different perspectives that UH can use to better market Direct Admissions to students across the state.
2. Assist in the development of a communications strategy to support the UH Direct Admissions initiative.
3. Assist with collaborating with system and campus partners to communicate key aspects of the projects implementation roadmap including timelines roles and responsibilities to key stakeholders.
4. Assist in framing and communicating lessons learned from the pilot phase to support future scaling efforts.
5. Draft content for use on websites newsletters and presentations.
6. Assist with facilitation of outreach events or virtual meetings to engage internal and external audiences.
7. Create engaging collateral materials such as flyers info sheets FAQ documents email templates and social media content.
8. Support the development of a style guide and branding recommendations for the Direct Admissions initiative.
9. This position will assist the PI in developing the following outcomes and deliverables:
Project Implementation Roadmap: A clearly defined communication strategy that supports the rollout of an implementation roadmap with articulated timelines roles and responsibilities.
Data-Sharing Framework Messaging: Outreach materials that help explain the development of a data-sharing framework that aligns with state and federal guidelines and identifies legal and technical considerations.
Integration Model Communications: Clear accessible collateral that explains the K-12 to higher education data integration model roles in data management and oversight processes.
Pilot-to-Scale Storytelling: Strategic communication outputs (e.g. briefs presentations summary reports) that capture lessons from the UH pilot to inform a 10-campus scale-up strategy.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Education Communications Journalism Media Social Sciences Public Policy or related field and 0 years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for education administration or policy; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education knowledge skills and abilities as indicated.
2. Functional knowledge of principles practices and techniques in the area of education administration or policy as demonstrated by knowledge understanding and ability to apply concepts terminology.8. Possessionof strong written and verbal communication skills.
9.Interest in higher education access student success and/or public policy.
10. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs Slides Sheets) and Zoom.
2. Background or experience in communications marketing public relations education policy or public administration.
