Davenergy Solutions is currently seeking an onsite full-time Construction Manager at the VA Northern California HCS (VANCHCS) in Martinez CA.

This position serves as Owners Representative supporting the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) infrastructure upgrades project.

• Working knowledge of construction practices materials and typical commercial/institutional building operations.
• Have an ability to review and evaluate schedules submittals RFIs proposed changes and contractor documentation and prepare clear written reports deficiency logs and field observations.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards as they relate to contract compliance. Ability to proactively notify the Government of any violations and/or potential impact.
• Proficiency in using a variety of software applications to monitor progress update records and produce work deliverables. Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn and adapt to new programs quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally. Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues clients and stakeholders in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor update and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
• Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills

Relevant Experience

• Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience identifying deficiencies in contractors work relative to contract documents and tracking issues through resolution.
• Experience reviewing baseline schedules and construction progress schedules identifying delays and providing recommendations to the Owner for schedule adjustments.
• Experience producing daily reports inspection reports and written analyses related to RFIs submittals schedule updates and quality assurance surveillance.
• Exposure to telecommunications room or data center construction is a plus.
• Prior experience in healthcare federal or complex institutional construction is preferred.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelors of Science in Engineering Construction Management or Architecture preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant construction management or related industry experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to climb permanent and temporary stairs ladders and access construction personnel hoists.
• Ability to safely navigate active construction sites including uneven surfaces and partially completed work areas.
• Regular exposure to construction environments with moving mechanical parts elevated work areas airborne particles or fumes outdoor weather conditions and potential electrical hazards.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment weighing 1025 lbs. required.
