Job Summary
Overview
Oxford Global Resources is supporting a direct-hire opportunity for a Senior IT System Administrator on a long-term mission-critical DoD program. This role supports classified systems across sustainment development and lab environments and requires a senior-level professional capable of operating independently in a secure fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems in classified environments
- Support system sustainment product development and lab operations
- Provide system administration support for Operational Flight Program (OFP) and Test Program Set (TPS) activities
- Evaluate current system architectures and support large-scale system planning and upgrades
- Install configure and support LAN/WAN network communications
- Support containerized applications and cloud-based environments
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system performance reliability and security
- Operate at a Senior/SME level with minimal oversight
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance (must be able to maintain)
- Security CE certification
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- 6 years of experience administering RHEL systems
- Hands-on experience with Puppet Enterprise and Red Hat Satellite
- Experience with software containerization technologies
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years supporting DoD programs
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technologies
- Expert knowledge of system administration principles practices and procedures
