Why Your Role Matters
The Diversity & Inclusion Officer supports UNSWs efforts to advance equity inclusion and social impact across the University. Working within the Division of Societal Impact Equity & Engagement (DSIEE) youll help deliver initiatives spanning gender equity accessibility LGBTQIA inclusion cultural diversity anti-racism and workplace culture.
This role reports to the Manager Diversity & Inclusion and has no direct reports.
Main responsibilities include:
Coordinating engagement activities events and campaigns for students and staff
Creating and supporting content that amplifies Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and achievements
Supporting the planning and delivery of D&I programs including stakeholder engagement and event logistics
Assisting with the review and update of training materials and communication resources
Who You Are
You are a strong communicator energised by working across multiple stakeholders with a passion for inclusive culture and creating safe environments for staff and students. You bring:
Previous experience in communications and engagement
Experience supporting events campaigns or outreach programs
Experience in the Diversity Inclusion and Equity space is highly regarded passion for the area is essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with sensitivity to tone and audience
Experience in digital content creation and engagement activities
Strong time management skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
Candidates will need to have valid working rights this role is not available for sponsorship.
This is afixed term contract (leave cover)until February 2027. The role is hybrid Monday to Friday.
