Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare high-quality meals aligned with our café-style menu
- Manage food prep portion control and presentation standards
- Monitor stock order supplies and minimise food wastage
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety compliance (HACCP)
- Collaborate with café management on menus and specials
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff where required
Requirements
What Were Looking For
To thrive in this role youll need to bring:
- Relevant culinary qualification (e.g. Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Commercial Cookery)
- OR 3 years of relevant chef experience
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in the kitchen
- Comfortable in a small fast-paced kitchen environment
- A team player with excellent time management and reliability
- proven ability to work in a fast-paced flexible environment
- Full unrestricted Australian working rights

AQF Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification OR minimum 35 years relevant commercial baking experience At least 2 years post-qualification or equivalent industry experience Proven experience in artisan and commercial bread production Strong understanding of dough fermentation baking processes and quality control Ability to work early mornings weekends and under pressure Reliable punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.
