The Quality Improvement Consultant serves as a project leader including major and multi-department projects a quality improvement subject matter expert and consultant for data analysis and reporting. Has a thorough understanding of best practices data collection and analysis.
Provides regular feedback and updates to stakeholders regarding projects activities and needs and collaborates with leadership to develop quality goals and clinical/operational improvement strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required CPHQ or experience with lean six sigma or other quality improvement methods preferred. For employees hired prior to March 2015 equivalent related experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
Must maintain current licensure as appropriate to profession.
Minimum of two years ambulatory or acute care hospital experience as a clinician clinical data abstractor or quality analysis/performance improvement preferred.
Senior Quality Improvement Consultant
The Senior Quality Improvement Consultant serves as a project leader of major and multi-department projects a quality improvement subject matter expert and consultant for data analysis and reporting. Has a thorough understanding of best practices data collection and analysis. Enables leaders to fully maximize operational ancillary nursing and related clinical systems capabilities to meet the institutional quadruple aim goals of efficient quality care patient and staff safety. The Senior Quality Improvement Consultant oversees implementation of quality related performance improvement projects. Serves as quality liaison to assigned departments or service lines provides regular feedback and updates to stakeholders regarding projects activities and needs and collaborates with assigned departments leadership to develop quality goals and clinical/operational improvement strategies. Mentors newer quality improvement consultants in best practice tools and application data analysis and validation processes and in other department related practices.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in health care health services research field Health Information Management Computer Science or a related discipline required. Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Must maintain current licensure as appropriate to profession. Certification in Healthcare Quality preferred.
Minimum of five years ambulatory or acute care hospital experience as a clinician clinical data abstractor or quality improvement consultant required. Relevant data collection and reporting experience including use of statistical methods query development understanding strongly preferred.
