We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support large-scale engineering projects based in Orlando FL. This role is responsible for end-to-end mechanical system engineering including design from concept through installation and commissioning. The position involves complex mechanical analysis system integration and technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Perform mechanical system design from scratch including detailed engineering analysis and calculations (stress fatigue acceleration forces load calculations material stress reliability and life expectancy).
- Design develop and implement fully integrated mechanical assembly systems that meet process requirements and comply with applicable local and government codes.
- Conduct failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) risk assessments and hazard analyses including mitigation planning. Analyze and optimize system designs to minimize Class 1 parts and single points of failure through redundancy strategies.
- Develop comprehensive system documentation including theory of operation design descriptions test plans and maintenance plans.
- Create mechanical design drawings and installation procedures using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
- Design and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
- Support system start-up commissioning debugging and final acceptance activities.
- Serve as a technical lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
