Job Summary:

The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a board-certified Nephrology physician scientist at the Assistant Professor level with training and interest in deciphering novel mechanism of disease in lupus nephritis.

The candidates primary responsibilities will be to conduct impactful research in the area of immune-complex disease and lupus addition the candidate will have clinical responsibilities in the inpatient outpatient and dialysis services. The ideal candidate will have a record of scholarly productivity and mentorship.

The candidate will be recommended for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct mechanistic studies in immune-complex disease and lupus nephritis

  • Publish original research findings

  • Apply for continual grant funding

  • 25-30% clinical effort on the inpatient outpatient and dialysis services.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora Colorado

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Have an MD PhD MD/PhD DO or international equivalent terminal degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A record of scholarly achievement.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with learners faculty healthcare teams administrators and community organizations.
  • Expertise in clinical research.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Accomplishment in research scholarship

  • A demonstrated commitment to education and mentorship of medical and graduate students residents and fellows.
