Now Hiring: Shipping & Inventory Clerk
Join our fast-paced aerospace/defense manufacturing team as a key member of our Shipping and Inventory department. This role supports the accurate movement tracking and control of materials throughout the facility ensuring production teams receive what they need and customer shipments go out on time. We are looking for dependable detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a hands-on warehouse environment and are committed to quality and compliance.
The Shipping & Inventory Clerk performs a mix of shipping receiving inventory control and general warehouse duties. Depending on experience responsibilities may range from basic shipping tasks to more advanced inventory management documentation and support for domestic and international shipments. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work problem-solving and contributing to a high-reliability manufacturing operation.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Prepare outbound shipments including packaging labeling and assisting with required documentation.
- Support domestic and international shipments in compliance with company procedures and export regulations (ITAR/EAR).
- Receive inspect count and store incoming materials; verify contents against purchase orders.
- Enter and maintain accurate inventory data in the MRP system.
- Perform cycle counts reconcile discrepancies and adjust inventory following established procedures.
- Fulfill material requests for production and coordinate with Purchasing Planning and Quality.
- Maintain organized records of shipping receiving and inventory activities.
- Assist with general warehouse operations including material handling and forklift operation.
- Monitor stock levels of packaging and shipping supplies.
- Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Shipping & Inventory Clerk I (EntryMid Level)
- 12 years of experience in shipping receiving or warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with basic inventory tasks and material handling.
- Willingness to learn MRP systems export documentation and company procedures.
Shipping & Inventory Clerk II (Experienced Level)
- 3 years of experience in shipping receiving or inventory control preferably in aerospace/defense.
- Experience handling domestic and international shipments including documentation.
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (FileMaker preferred).
- Ability to train others support workflow coordination and assist as backup to the Shipping Lead.
Skills/Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a positive dependable attitude.
- Effective communication skills in English both written and verbal.
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately count and verify materials.
- Basic computer skills for data entry label generation and documentation.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Forklift certification preferred (training provided if needed).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks.
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing bending squatting lifting and moving throughout the warehouse.
- Exposure to varying temperatures noise vibrations fumes and chemicals.
- Occasional driving of company vehicles and/or forklifts.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday - Friday 6:00 AM -2:30 PM or
- Monday -Thursday 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM / Every other Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- 7:00 AM start time is also available.
Compensation
- Shipping/Inventory Clerk I: $19.00-$24.50 per hour.
- Shipping/Inventory Clerk II: $24.50-$29.50 per hour.
