We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Commissioning Inspector to support commissioning testing and verification of building systems on a large high-security facility. This role focuses on start-up functional testing systems integration and performance verification of mechanical electrical plumbing fire protection and low-voltage systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong field commissioning experience and be comfortable working in an active construction environment with variable schedules.
Support commissioning start-up pre-functional and functional performance testing (FPT) of all MEP systems.
Witness and document equipment start-ups TAB activities system flushing pressure testing and integrated system testing (IST).
- HVAC systems (AHUs exhaust controls sensors sequences)
- Electrical systems (power lighting emergency/backup systems)
- Fire alarm & fire protection systems
- Plumbing & domestic water systems
- Building automation & controls
- Security telecom and low-voltage systems
- Review commissioning plans checklists test scripts O&M manuals and test reports.
- Track commissioning issues deficiencies and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors commissioning agents and project management teams.
- Validate system performance against design intent sequences of operation and codes.
- Provide daily field reports and commissioning logs.
Requirements
- 15 years of MEP inspection and/or commissioning experience.
- Demonstrated experience with commissioning functional testing and system start-up.
- Strong understanding of HVAC electrical fire/life safety plumbing and BAS systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings specifications and sequences of operation.
- Comfortable working night and weekend shifts when required.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
