Other Conditions: Contingent on course offerings and student demand to begin approximately Fall 2026 availability of funds and actual staffing requirements. The position may be converted from 11 to 9 months or 9 to 11 months based on operational needsMasters in Health Sciences Biological Sciences Nursing or EMS ANDcurrent EMT-P certification by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and current Hawaii certification as a MICT (or certification in progress); ORRegistered Nurse and a current Hawaii State license as an RN;
OR
Bachelors in Health Sciences Biological Sciences Nursing or EMS ANDthree (3) years related work experience which should include postsecondary teaching; at least one of the three years must be professional EMS (EMT or MICT) experience; ANDcurrent EMT-P certification by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and current Hawaii certification as a MICT (or certification in progress); ORRegistered Nurse and a current Hawaii State license as an RN;
OR
Certification as a Paramedic; ANDa Baccalaureate degree in any field ANDfive (5) years related work experience which should include postsecondary teaching; at least 2 of the 5 years must be professional EMS (EMT or MICT) experience AND current EMT-P certification by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians ANDcurrent Hawaii certification as a MICT (or certification in progress); ORRegistered Nurse and a current Hawaii State license as an RN;
OR
Associate Degree in MICT ANDten (10) years related work experience which should include postsecondary teaching; at least three (3) of the ten (10) years must be professional EMS (EMT or MICT) experience ANDcurrent EMT-P certification by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and current Hawaii certification as a MICT (or certification in progress); ORRegistered Nurse and a current Hawaii State license as an RN;
OR
Medical Doctor ANDcurrent Hawaii license as an M.D.; current ACLS instructor certification; board eligible orboard certified in emergency medicine.
