Job Description:
The Commodities Team at TD Singapore is seeking a candidate for a unique opportunity to lead our Metals Sales and Trading team for APAC. Reporting to the Global Head of Metals Sales this is a role that will primarily be customer facing across the Banks Corporate and Institutional Client Base. The principal business is in Precious Metals and Base Metals. The role will also involve management of local personnel within the Singapore based Commodities Team.
Principal Responsibilities
Set APAC sales strategy for metals.
Oversee and manage metals personnel based in Singapore
Onboard new clients and maintenance of existing client relationships
Work effectively with key internal stakeholders of the business including legal credit and risk teams and the global commodities team
Collaborate with other desks and departments within the dealer for cross marketing opportunities
Assist in growing client franchise through consistent pricing and liquidity provision
Track market developments to identify hedging opportunities providing commentary to clients and liaising with other business units
Qualifications & Skills
Combined 10 years of experience in either the sales and/or trading spaces in markets
Proficiency in the full trade cycle beginning to end communication pricing execution and settlement of trades
Solid fundamental understanding of the mechanics and drivers of markets- preferably in Asia
Strong track record of working across teams and jurisdictions
Collaborative attitude and strong interpersonal skills
