0.857 FTE English Social Studies and Humanities Teacher
Eagle River Secondary
This is a temporary as signment effective immediately to June 30 2026.
This assignment consists of teaching Grade 7/8 Humanities English First Peoples 11/12 and a Senior Social Studies with the specific courses determined in consultation between administration and the successful candidate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts or Education (Secondary emphasis preferred);
- Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch.
Teachers applying should possess the following attributes:
- academic credentials and/or experience in teaching the above subject areas;
- a working knowledge of the current curriculum for the above subject areas;
- demonstrated successful experience teaching at the Secondary level;
- commitment to fostering a collaborative and cooperative working environment;
- committed to stimulating student interest and confidence in learning;
- evidence of ability to motivate secondary students;
- demonstrated use of a variety of instructional and assessment strategies;
- excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with other staff members;
- commitment to involving parents in the learning of their children.
