Role: Enquiry Desk Assistant

Salary: 25242 - 27204 (plus weekend working)
Hours: 37 & 16 (for the 16-hour post there is requirement to work full time/37 hours for the first 4 weeks for training purposes)

In this role you will deliver a high standard of customer service to members of the public who attend our stations dealing promptly professional and courteously with all enquiries.
Key responsibilities:
Provide a prompt response to all enquiries received at the enquiry desk.
Where appropriate signpost enquirers to other SYP teams partner services and/or organisations.
Accept record and securely store items of found and evidential property including cash and firearms handed in by members of the public.
Creating incidents (e.g. Reporting crimes historic offences CSODS)
Check Confirm process and record information in relation to force processes for example vehicle documentation/seizure road traffic collisions bail signers sex offender registration and crime reports.
Maintain and update electronic records/systems.
Search and retrieve information to complete tasks whilst maintaining the security and confidentiality of all material handled.
Report persons for minor offences use of Police Caution.
Responsibility for security of access through the public foyer area/ car parks including booking in visitors to the site.
Carry out general clerical/ administrative duties
Attend court to give evidence in accordance with instruction and legislation.

Please note that the Enquiry Desk will be open 0800-1800 Monday to Saturday and 1000-1800 Sunday.
