About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled 3D CAD Modeler to support engineered design and fabrication workflows. The ideal candidate will excel at producing precise material-specific models that align with project documentation and industry standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy efficiency and seamless coordination across engineering and fabrication teams.
Key Responsibilities
Create detailed 3D models using Tekla SDS2 or Advanced Steel.
Review and interpret engineered drawings project documents and specifications.
Ensure all models meet dimensional material and design requirements.
Collaborate with engineers project managers and fabrication personnel to support project execution.
Maintain organized documentation revision histories and version control.
Identify troubleshoot and resolve design or modeling inconsistencies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
2 years of experience working with Tekla SDS2 or Advanced Steel.
Background in construction or metal fabrication.
Strong spatial reasoning and mathematical skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Clear and professional verbal and written communication abilities.
Collaborative team player with a positive goal-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in fast-paced deadline-driven project environments.
Knowledge of fabrication shop standards and workflows.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Interest in ongoing professional development.
