About the opportunity

Join our Cards and Payment Systems team as one of our Payment Operations Officer (shift hours will be Monday to Friday - 4.30pm to 11pm). You will be provided with initial on-site training (this can be in either our Melbourne CBD or Bendigo office) then due to the hours of work you will work remotely.

In this role you will be responsible for the monitoring and processing of Direct Entry payments on behalf of the Bank and external customers after business hours.

In this role youll get to

  • Ensure quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing payment transactions.
  • Provide support to branch staff and assist them in addressing customer queries.
  • Provide first level phone support to Group branches departments and customers in regard to payment enquiries.
  • Ensure work practices are conducted in accordance with all Bank risk management and compliance requirements as specified in Bank policy corporate and business unit procedures and the staff handbook.
  • Ensure all internal processes are in line with regulatory and legal requirements.

What youll bring to the role

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Youll have payments experience with a passion for making things work better.
  • Business exposure or experience with customer facing business units within a bank.
  • Good working knowledge of Banking systems processes and data in relation payment systems.
  • Youll be able to prioritise your work to deliver effective outcomes.
  • Youll have a high level of accuracy in your work and good data entry skills.
