The role

As a Senior Probity Officer you will be assisting teams across the Department embed fairness integrity and transparency into everyday decisionmaking. You will be working closely with your team to build understanding of probity principles develop practical frameworks and provide clear timely advice on issues ranging from governance and conduct to fraud and corruption risks.

A big part of your job will be navigating complex information and working with diverse stakeholders to resolve sensitive issues. Your day to day will include supporting training and awareness activities monitoring compliance and preparing highquality resources that strengthen the Departments overall governance and probity practices.

What you will bring to the role

  • Understanding of probity governance ethics fraud and corruption control.
  • Proven skill in building relationships with varied stakeholders and navigating sensitive matters with professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to interpret complex information apply critical thinking and develop practical recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to simplify complex concepts draft briefs and reports and support training and awareness activities.
  • Proactive approach to anticipating risks contributing to improved processes frameworks and governance outcomes.

What is an essential requirement:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience and/or ability in fraud and/or corruption control probity corporate governance risk management or another field relevant to the role.
