POSITION FUNCTION:
The Senior Manager Employment Programs assumes overall responsibility for program operations the management of human resources and finances the achievement of contractual outputs outcomes and obligations and the development and implementation of all relevant policies systems procedures and standards for employment programs. The Senior Manager plays a key role in ensuring an integrated approach to the delivery of services at MOSAIC.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assumes responsibility for the overall operations of Employment programs across multiple locations
- Establish all new and re-contracted programs within the portfolio
- Maintain a working knowledge of employment programs and services for newcomers including immigration patterns local and regional community trends and opportunities and identify and recommend opportunities for MOSAIC to the Director.
- Develop outreach and marketing plans to attract program participants and oversee marketing efforts within the program area leveraging support from the Marketing teams.
- Work with the Director and the Finance and Administration Department to ensure the financial integrity and accountability of the program area
- Develop and support staff to reach their potential
- Manage annual budget for portfolio
- Represent the organization and/or department at coalitions networks functions and/or committees as requested by the director.
- Through employer/industry community and stakeholder relations activities bring forward to the director trends needs and opportunities for consideration
- Regularly inform the director on the outcomes of the program area and make recommendations for improvement as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge: Program management activities government funding sources and requirements; working knowledge of standard office equipment and software applications (word processing spreadsheets presentation software and databases); knowledge of policies procedures and standards.
Education: Degree in Management (Business Financial) Marketing Education Social Work etc. or equivalent education or experience.
Skills:
- Able to contribute to alliances and networks focused on focused on employment services and programs
- Able to work independently and lead a team Collaboration
- Conflict Resolutions skills Cultural sensitivity Customer service Communication skills

COMPENSATION: $88641.80 - $103638.60 annual salary
HOURS: full-time position (35 hours per week)
The successful candidate may be permitted to work a hybrid work model (a combination of in-office and remote work).
The successful candidate must be able to commute to the MOSAIC Boundary office however can identify Highgate or Surrey Newton as their primary office
BENEFITS:
A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
