Role: Senior Core Network Project Manager (Wireless Core Network).
Location: Brampton ON (Onsite).
Duration: Long Term Contract.
Role Overview:
- The Senior Core Network Project Manager is responsible for leading the end to end delivery of large technically complex core network projects from initiation through deployment and lifecycle management. The role ensures projects are delivered on time on budget and to scope while managing multiple stakeholders vendors and cross functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end to end delivery of large core network projects including new builds expansions software upgrades decommissioning lifecycle management new product/technology introductions and cloud/service migrations.
- Develop and manage integrated project/program plans schedules and delivery roadmaps; identify and mitigate risks issues and dependencies.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects (2 5) using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies ensuring adherence to scope quality and timelines.
- Own all project communications ensuring clear timely updates to technical teams management vendors and customers.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder and vendor relationships set clear expectations and hold teams accountable for deliverables.
- Manage project financials including budgeting CAPEX/OPEX tracking and forecasting.
- Lead cross functional collaboration across internal departments to ensure successful implementation and handover of core network projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 8 years of project management experience including 5 years in core network environments.
- Proven experience delivering large complex telecom or core network projects.
- Hands on experience with deployments involving Ericsson Mavenir ENEA Allot Sandvine and HPE.
- CAPM and/or PMP certifications required; Agile/ACP Scrum Master or similar Agile credentials are considered an asset.
- Strong proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g. Jira Remedy Oracle eBusiness/ebiZ Microsoft Office) and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Demonstrated leadership ownership and accountability with experience managing cross functional teams and multiple vendors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication stakeholder management presentation and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced constantly evolving environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively foster teamwork and adapt to change.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Canadian telecommunications experience (strongly preferred to reduce onboarding time).
- Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 telecom operators in Canada.
- Prior exposure to both Core Network projects.
Important:
- This role does not include access networks outside plant fiber construction GPON microwave or RAN only roles.
- Experience limited to IP RAN access transport or radio access is not sufficient on its own.
