Job Title: Payroll Specialist Healthcare Operations

Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Duration: 14-Week Contract
Pay Rate: $28/hour (W2 Negotiable)
Job Summary
A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support payroll and timekeeping operations within a hospital or healthcare setting. This role requires hands-on payroll expertise strong analytical skills and the ability to ensure accuracy compliance and confidentiality in a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
Process payroll for hourly and salaried healthcare employees
Manage timekeeping data including retroactive pay and time adjustments
Enter track and process wage garnishments taxes and payroll deductions
Review payroll transfer reports and verify benefit deductions
Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy compliance and data integrity
Maintain payroll records and documentation within payroll and HR systems
Support leadership with payroll and accounting-related projects as needed
Work across multiple payroll and timekeeping systems while maintaining confidentiality
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of payroll and timekeeping experience preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment
Strong experience with garnishments taxes and year-end payroll activities
Proven analytical skills including retro pay and time calculations
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferred
Experience with QuickBooks Pay Choice or Payroll Associates
Prior experience supporting payroll operations in a healthcare or hospital setting
