About the Role

We are looking for a Sr Compliance Advisory Manager to support the Banks Personal Lending this role you will provide compliance advisory oversight helping to identify assess and manage compliance risks across the Personal Lending Products portfolio. You will partner closely with leaders across the business to support the development and execution of the Banks compliance risk management framework including related policies procedures and process controls.

The role supports the full product lifecycle including marketing applicant sourcing application processing and underwriting funding account servicing and partner oversight.

What Youll Do

  • Assistwith the assessment of all regulatory risksand controlsrelated to lending products including identifying gaps in controls highlighting areas of highest risk and developingappropriate riskmitigation strategies
  • Participate in discussions with senior management including within strategic priorities risk assessments regulatory change management compliance monitoring and testing training issues management consumer complaints and third-party risk
  • Develop andmaintainpolicies standards and other documented measures to formally set forth the principles and practices of regulatory compliance related to lending operations
  • Work with business leaders and management to socialize lending compliance principles and practices andassistwith developing procedures systems and processes to execute policy requirements
  • Assist the Compliance Program Office with the development of regulation-based training and targeted role-based training covering the laws regulations and policy requirements related to lending operations
  • Collaborate with Testing and Monitoring Teams to establish strategies andprotocols to assess and measure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements andidentifydefects and deficiencies requiring corrective action
  • Ensure material compliance issuesidentifiedby any means and through any source related to lending products are recorded tracked and reported to ensure theirappropriateandtimelyresolution
  • Coordinate with Regulatory Change Management toidentifynew or changes to laws regulations and regulatory guidance related to lending product compliance and work with business management to operationalize/implementrequirements
  • Prepare deliver and effectively communicate analysis and reportingregardinglending compliance to oversight committees and management

About You

  • 6 years of banking or financial services experience primarily in compliance risk management and/or audit and a bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

  • 3 years of direct experience in lending compliance with a focus on consumer credit

  • Proficient in consumer compliance and consumer protection regulations including ECOA UDAAP TILA FCRA MLA/SCRA TCPA GLBA EFTA and ESIGN as well as applicable state laws and safety and soundness considerations

  • Strong working knowledge of consumer protection laws and associated risks and the internal controls needed to mitigate those risks

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence decisions and drive change

  • Solid analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to rapid change

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage projects to address complex problems and drive results through strong business partnerships and project management

  • Experience working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with the ability to deliver quality results amid competing priorities aggressive timelines and evolving direction

  • Self-starter with the ability to think independently take ownership and drive initiatives to resolution while providing appropriate progress updates and escalating issues as needed

  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Desire and ability to quickly learn LendingClubs business model technology capabilities and evolving regulatory environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

  • Experience supporting regulatory examinations and compliance audits including developing tracking and executing timely corrective actions

Work Location
San Francisco or Lehi

The above locations are eligible offices for this locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this roles team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model and our teams are in-office Tuesdays Wednesdays and -person attendance is essential for this roles success and remote placement will not be offers relocation based on actual job level.

Time Zone Requirements
Local hours (PT MT)

While the position will primarily work local hours LendingClub is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary.

Travel Requirements
As needed travel to LendingClub offices and/or other locations as needed.

Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is 00. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge experience education skills and location. Base salary is just one part of LendingClubs Total Rewards package. You may also be eligible for long-term awards (equity) and an annual bonus (which is based on company performance employee performance and eligible earnings).
