Job Summary

About the role

selectability is currently seeking a dynamic and passionate acting people and culture officer to join our team from 20 February 2026 to 16 March 2026. In this role you will have the opportunity to shape and nurture a vibrant workplace culture that empowers our employees and aligns with our organisational goals. You will be instrumental in supporting to drive initiatives that promote employee engagement development and well-being while maintaining compliance with relevant human resource legislation and standards.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • contributing to the development and implementation of strategic human resource initiatives aimed at achieving organisational goals
  • supporting fair and transparent performance management processes
  • creating comprehensive human resource reports for data analysis and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • developing advertising summaries interview guides and position descriptions that align with organisational requirements
  • conducting regular human resource compliance audits
  • supporting the implementation of HR projects and initiatives
  • managing various administrative tasks to ensure efficient HR operations
  • supporting the ongoing configuration of our HRIS (PageUp)

About you

To be successful you must:

  • demonstrated experience in human resource best practice
  • experience in maintaining human resource systems (highly desirable)
  • proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite
  • effective verbal and written communication skills building positive workplace relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • a demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach
  • ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality courtesy and discretion
  • a demonstrated ability to prioritise conflicting priorities as required

Role requirements

  • a Child Safety & Personal History Screening check
  • a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
  • a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality Safety & You completion certificate (or the ability to obtain)

About the offer

The acting people & culture officer is a fixed-term position based in Townsville.
