Overview:
Valero Grand Suites by Swiss-Belhotel is a premier hotel located in the heart of Makati City. We are currently looking for an Accounting Associate (Expense Audit) to join our dynamic team. As an Accounting Associate you will be responsible for performing expense audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct expense audits on a regular basis to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Review and verify expense reports invoices and receipts for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate with employees and managers to resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Prepare reports on audit findings and provide recommendations for process improvements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all expense audits and related documents
- Assist with month-end closing activities including reconciliations and journal entries
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate processing of expenses
- Stay updated on changes in company policies and procedures related to expenses
- Provide support to other accounting functions as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in expense audit or related accounting role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if needed
