The Department of Economic Security Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Program Review Committee-District North Chairperson. DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities and their families services and supports that are flexible high quality and member driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decision-making and engagement in the community.
Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.
| Job Duties: |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Serves as the Program and Review Committee (PRC) Chair for the District. Responsible for coordinating the committee and scheduling PRC meetings per Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Policy. Reviews Behavior Plans (BP) and provides constructive feedback to the Planning team regarding the plans.
Responsible for approval/disapproval of BPs and tracks the changes recommended by the PRC to the provider agency. Attends provider and IOC meetings. Provides program changes and technical assistance to
provider agencies on an individual basis as needed. Refers providers to the DDD Training Unit for BTP classes so that agency staff receive proper training.
Supervises administrative staff including daily supervision performance review/ management and annual leave/time cards.
Provides data meeting agendas notices and minutes for PRC to PRC Administrator for review and approval.
Collaborates with the PRC Administrators in regards to the PRC. Ensures the timely completion of a variety of assigned projects related to the Division and its members with developmental disabilities.
| Knowledge Skills & Abilities (KSAs): |
Knowledge in:
DDD service delivery system and the Arizona Long Term Care Services (ALTCS).
Federal state and local laws rules regulations policies and procedures (i.e. American with Disabilities Act HIPAA Article IX etc.).
Positive behavior building and behavior building plan development.
Effective management principles and statistical methods.
Skills In:
Oral and written communication.
Interpersonal relationships and diplomacy spanning a large and diverse group of individuals.
Assessment and evaluation of Behavior Plans (BP) to ensure compliance.
Researching compiling data and providing comprehensive reports.
Ability to:
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Work independently and within a variety of diverse groups.
Work with various committees to ensure proper policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Recognize basic human rights and oversee the implementation of care and assistance needs for individuals with developmental disabilities.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
At least 2 yrs experience in Case Management/Support Coordination and/or writing and implementing Behavior Treatment Plans.
| Pre-Employment Requirements: |
Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to Drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operated a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) (R.11).
Successfully pass background and reference check; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the Agencys ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement. You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
